Your chance to find out more, about what you want to do!
If you're a Year 11 student thinking about what direction to take after school, you'll be making important decisions about your future.
We want you to have the opportunity to ask questions - to talk to lecturing staff and current students at Hartlepool College of Further Education. We want you to see the facilities on offer, and perhaps most importantly, to get a feel for the College, and know what being a student here is really like.
Throughout the year we hold a series of open evenings and events. Check-out the posters displayed around your school, or see local press for information.
Alternatively call Student Services at Hartlepool College of Further Education on (01429) 295000.
You will also get the chance to gather information at your school's roadshow; we present a programme at most local schools in Hartlepool, Billingham, Stockton, Wingate and Peterlee between October and January. A lively event, the roadshow includes a multi-media presentation; you will meet college advisors, find out about the exciting directions our past students have taken, and have the chance to ask all you need to know. Look forward to seeing you !
Helping Young People to Aim Higher
This year Health and Care staff and students have worked with local schools such as Manor College, St Michaels, St Hilds, and Brierton to offer pupils an exciting and innovative experience for pupils in years 9 to 11. They have had an opportunity to participate in interactive, exciting and enterprising practical skills in Health and Care which have supported and explained theories learned in the classroom.
The activities have been designed to:
· Encourage and motivate students to achieve through each stage and will also be beneficial to staff and parents and interested parties in the Community.
· Offer guidance and development for pupils, parents and school staff in demonstrating that developing skills in Health and Care can start at 14 and extend and develop to Higher Education and beyond into employment.
· Support the development of the New Society, Health and Justice Diploma Line.
