We aim to acknowledge your application within ten working days. The Admissions Officer will allocate you a student number that enables us to support you through your application. You will be invited to attend an interview with a specialist tutor. It is important that you bring your Progress File if you have one along with your predicted/mock GCSE exam results. If you are a 19+ applicant this is not applicable.

This interview will help you ensure that your choice of course is the right one. For most applicants, this is the case. If, however, you would like to change your course then you will be referred to a Student Adviser for advice. After your interview you will be sent a conditional or unconditional offer. A conditional offer means there will be some entry requirements you must satisfy. These are detailed in the course information. Please note that we expect all school leavers to complete their final year at school.

In August you are invited for a second interview before your course starts. Here we check that you have gained the necessary entry requirements and that you still wish to do the course. If you fail to meet the entry requirements, the College has entry points at all levels and there is usually an appropriate entry route for you.

If your course has to change this will be fully explained; you will be given an opportunity to see a Student Adviser. At your second interview you will be given a date to start your course and any further information you need such as text books or essential equipment.
