"Excellence in Further and Higher Education."

The Corporation Board

Minutes of all meetings, unless they are of a confidential nature, agendas and a schedule of future meetings and the register of governors interests, may be inspected by contacting the Clerk to the Corporation on 01429 283810.

When there is a vacancy on the Board, consideration will be given to nominations from the community. The College tries to ensure that its board of governors represents the wider community in Hartlepool and the surrounding area and nominations for potential candidates are welcomed.

The name of the potential candidate, together with curriculum vitae, supporting information and contact telephone number, should be submitted in the first place either by email to atheakston@hartlepoolfe.ac.uk or by post to:

Alan Theakston
The Clerk to the Corporation
Hartlepool College of Further Education
Stockton Street
Hartlepool TS24 7NT

The nominee will be contacted by the Clerk who will explain the obligations and requirements of the role and will send a job description and the eligibility criteria. If the nominee is still interested, a meeting will be arranged with the nominee, the Clerk, the Principal and the Chairman of the Board for a full discussion of the role. If, following the meeting, the nominee wishes his/her nomination to go forward the Clerk will submit the CV and give details to the members of the Search Committee who will consider the skills, experience, and other information and make a recommendation to the Board. The decision of the Board will be advised to the nominee following the meeting and if the appointment is to go ahead then the formal induction procedure will commence. A copy of the induction procedure may be obtained by anyone from the Clerk to the Corporation.
