Forums

Faith Development Group

Faith Development Group LogoThe group is a forum for consultation in the College and is made up by students and staff who volunteer their time.   The ethos of the group is spiritual well-being, healing and wholeness within the college and beyond.

Tasked with nurturing and supporting the spiritual dimension of college life, the group suggests imaginative and creative ways to involve and inform everyone who studies or works at college through speakers and displays about world faiths. The group is supported by Churches Together and Kate Brookes, Associate Minister at Stranton Church.

Any student or member of staff, of faith or no faith, is welcome to join the group.  All that is required is an open mind and a willingness to commit a little time each month.  To join or just to find out more contact Jackie Donley on 01429 404154 or jdonley@hartlepoolfe.ac.uk

Disability Forum

Disability Forum Group, Hartlepool College of Further EducationThis group is made up of students, staff and partners who support us by providing specialist help and advice. The purpose of this group is to ask members their opinions about services and support for people with disabilities attending College.  Members raise questions or concerns that are important to them and try to find solutions that can improve student experience.

Although the group is quite informal, the views expressed are very important to us.  Sometimes the group is asked to look at proposed procedures or for comments on their experience of the College building and services to disabled. Feedback is used to improve our practice in College.

Anyone can join the Forum, which meets approximately every six weeks.  To join the group, ask in the LRC or send an e-mail to Jackie Donley, Equality and Diversity Officer at jdonley@hartlepoolfe.ac.uk
