About Hartlepool College
Situated in the centre of town, Hartlepool College of Further Education serves the post 16 education and training needs of Hartlepool and the community. Working in conjunction with a range of partners, the College aims to achieve this ambition with the intention of helping to support and enhance the economic and social development of the community as a whole. In doing so the College aims to help each individual to achieve their personal ambition.
The College currently has approximately 8,000 learners following full and part-time courses, studying for academic, vocational and work-based learning qualifications. It is located at the heart of the town, close by to all major transport links and central facilities and with easy public access to our external annexes.
The Learning and Skills Council has given the green light for Hartlepool College of Further Education to begin their multi-million pound new development.
The College is one of only 12 colleges nationwide from an original list of over 180 that has been chosen to proceed with their development. The impact on the town, its economy and the environment is likely to be immense. Hartlepool College emerged from the LSC negotiations with the quality of the proposed building intact and benefits secured for future learners and the local community.
