Cat gets the cream job
Hartlepool College of Further Education's Cat Wright has landed a prestigious position as a judge in a new national competition. Central YMCA Qualifications (CYQ) is one of the UK's leading awarding bodies for health, fitness and wellbeing qualifications, delivered via a range of institutions such as universities, colleges, prisons and schools.
Its CYQ Fitness Trainer Competition, in association with British Colleges Sport, is a new skills competition seeking to recognise and celebrate the excellence of fitness instructors and personal trainers educated within BCS member colleges across the UK to the very high standards demanded by the active leisure sector.
Hartlepool College's Sports Development Manager Cat Wright been selected as one of only 25 judges nationwide. Participating colleges host events that present students with an opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills within a creative and challenging environment. The competition is designed to test their innovation and responsiveness to client requirements, and is an excellent way to help prepare them for employment and to add experience to their CV.
