Target audience 

Students who hold a Level 3 Achievement in Counselling

Entry requirements 

  • GCSE (or standard entry) in English Grade C (4) or above
  • Level 3 Achievement in Counselling
  • Satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS) you will be asked to declare any criminal convictions and be aware that enhanced checks for regulated activity will be carried out prior to you undertaking clinical practice
  • Written references from 2 sources to demonstrate appropriateness to undertake professional counselling training (1 reference from your Level 3 tutor)
  • A commitment to undertake 10 hours of personal therapy each year
  • A voluntary placement consisting of 100 face to face clinical hours
  • Commitment to attend 2 full weekend workshops each year
Course content 

This higher education course is in partnership with Teesside University.  Our study programme is designed to support graduates to gain extensive knowledge and understanding of Counselling theories alongside a range of professional, practical and personal skills for employability.

  • Counselling Approaches and Practice; working from an Integrative Perspective

 

 

Teaching & Learning 

Course modules on our programme are delivered in class room based lessons in HCFE over 2 years. Each module is supported through our online Virtual Learning System, which adheres as a minimum to the University's Thershold Quality Standards.

You are able to apply online for all courses, however to complete your course enrolment fully, you will need to have an interview and then be accepted onto a course.
