The Inspire programme of study has the intent to prepare students in becoming successful in their future aspirations. The course will implement a range of topics which will engage and encourage students to embrace their learning and development. The programme is aimed at students working across levels Entry 3 to Level 1 and teaching staff within the programme provide in-depth support for students with a range of needs, including social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH). On successful completion, students will progress on to a vocational programme that suits their interests and needs
An informal interview
The course offers flexibility within a range of taught subjects in which teaching staff will select and tailor to the student's interests. The course is delivered within a small and diverse environment where students will be able to receive support to raise their aspirations and actively focus on their individual needs. The course will also allow students to develop their communication, and confidence and work as a team which will assist in the student's future opportunities for progression within the college
Various teaching and learning approaches and activities will be completed throughout the course to allow students to gain the skills and qualities needed to progress
Students will create a portfolio that will include a range of assessment methods (practical and written evidence)
Upon completion, the student will progress to a vocational area suitable for their individual interests
