Target audience 

IOSH Managing Safely acts as a full introduction to Health and Safety,
targeted at managers and supervisors.

Entry requirements 

No pre-requisites but experience of managing the health, safety and
welfare of staff would be advantageous.

Course content 

The delegate will study the following modules:



  • Introducing managing safely

  • Assessing risks

  • Controlling risks

  • Understanding responsibilities

  • Understanding hazards

  • Investigating incidents

  • Measuring performance
Assessment criteria 

Assessment is by means of a multi-choice examination and the successful
completion of a risk assessment based project in the candidate's
workplace.

Progression 

NEBOSH National General Certificate.

Other information 

Successful delegates will receive a "Managing Safely" certificate issued
by the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).

Application & Enrolment

You are able to apply online for all courses, however to complete your course enrolment fully, you will need to have an interview and then be accepted onto a course. The only courses available to enrol online are Full Cost courses, if you wish to enrol on any other course please call into Student Services or call 01429 295000.

Full Cost course fees are inclusive of VAT.
