Target audience 

The aim is to introduce and develop learners' knowledge and awareness of health, social care and children and young people's settings. There is a particular focus on Early Years and Children's units.

Entry requirements 

Learners need to achieve 5 GCSEs grades 3-2 or an Entry 3 Level qualification.

Course content 

The course content covers a mix of 14 different mandatory and optional units covering health, social care, children and young people.

Teaching & Learning 

This qualification is portfolio based using a range of assessment methods including assignments, observations, discussions and presentations.

Progression 

Progression to Level 2 CYPW, Level 2 Health or Level 2 One Award within Health and Care School.
