This course covers both 2D & 3D parametric modelling across the year. All students will need to complete both elements of the assessment.
For those who have some basic computer experience, this course is a foundation from which a higher level of qualification can be attained. The course is designed in consultation with employers to suit those who are seeking, preparing for, or wish to extend their professional skills. It is very 'hands-on' for learners and is designed to develop their 2D & 3D computer drawing skills and competencies for the 21st century.
Some 2D or 3D CAD experience is preferable but those without any experience may apply.

There are several fundamental elements which cover the content of the course. Sessions are classroom based, with tutor demonstration, explanation and feedback. Students are to complete dedicated classroom activities, procedures and practical tasks, all activities are geared towards progress and assessment of the module.
Assessment at the end of the module is classroom based. All assessment is internally marked against City & Guilds set criteria. There is assessment for both 2D & 3D. There is an online multi choice question paper to pass.
On completion of the course, students can progress (where applicable) to a further education course aimed at Level 3 attainment.
