For those who have some basic computer experience, this course is a foundation from which a higher level of qualification can be attained. The course is designed in consultation with employers to suit those who are seeking, preparing for, or wish to extend their professional skills. It is very 'hands-on' for learners and is designed to develop their 2D computer drawing skills and competencies for the 21st century.
- Drawing production and the creation of 2D drawings
- Editing, drafting and printing of drawings
- Text, Hatching and Dimensions
- The production of files within AutoCAD for export to a range of destinations/applications
Assessment at the end of the module is classroom based. All assessment is internally marked against City & Guilds set criteria. There is an online multi choice question paper to pass.
On completion of the course, students can progress to a further education course aimed at Level 3 attainment.
The college will recruit learners to C&G qualifications with integrity. It is expected that students will make every effort to attend all sessions. Students must have a commitment to completing the course. Those with work and/or family commitments should be aware of the duration of the course and the need to attend all classes.
