5 GCSEs grade A* to D including Maths & English at grade C. A suitable school report or reference.
There are 12 units on the course. They aim to provide an overview of the industry for anyone interested in a career in travel and tourism. It provides a range of career options including travel agency, holiday representatives, cabin crew, cruise line and customer service roles.
Ten units are internally assessed through coursework. Two units are externally assessed with an exam. The exam board will sample units throughout the year.
Students can progress directly into training in a range of opportunities in the industry. They can also progress on to the BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Travel & Tourism.
The programme also has a wide range of enrichment activities included, such as cabin crew training, visitor attraction visits and residential opportunities.
