Target audience 

This qualification is for people thinking about progressing to the HNC/HND in either Building or Building Services Engineering who wish to be equipped with the necessary skills before entering HE.

Entry requirements 

There are no formal entry requirements for candidates undertaking this qualification, however, individuals will need to meet the prerequisites for the HE programmes if they wish to proceed.

Course content 

You will cover knowledge of the different construction related topics taught and study skills that you will be able to transfer to subsequent HE programmes e.g. HNC

Assessment criteria 

You will be assessed by completing in-course assessments (often assignments) and these will enable you to experience the assessment process similar to which is found in HE programmes.

Progression 

Learners can progress on to the HNC in Building or Building Services Engineering following a successful interview.

Application & Enrolment

You are able to apply online for all courses, however to complete your course enrolment fully, you will need to have an interview and then be accepted onto a course. The only courses available to enrol online are Full Cost courses, if you wish to enrol on any other course please call into Student Services or call 01429 295000.
