The design of this Diploma provides HE progression opportunities for adults who, because of social, educational or individual circumstances may have achieved few, if any, prior qualifications.

There are no formal entry requirements to access this course
- to develop the necessary academic and personal skills to enable students to engage successfully with entry to higher education and be able to contribute fully with all aspects of university activities during their courses
- to enhance employment prospects creating a workforce with higher-level skills
- to offer students a thorough appreciation and understanding of the range of career options available, locally and nationally
- to enable students to develop learning and confidence skills that they may not have had the opportunities to achieve previously
The units that students will undertake are Professional behaviours for the police
- crime and investigation
- introduction to law
- the sociology of crime and defiance
- law and criminology
- psychology
- Mathematics and English
Teaching and Learning will take place in the form of lectures, seminars, workshops and scenario based assessments. Teaching will commence over one full day per week.
Students will be assessed using a mixture of written assessments, practical assessment, presentation and observations

- LLB (Hons) Crime and Investigation FdA Public Services Law, Criminology and Criminal Justice
