Our Supported Internship Programme is for young people aged 16-24 who have an Education Health and Care
Plan and want to make the move into employment but require extra support to do so. The programme offers
flexibility and a range of opportunities to get practical work-based learning experiences to increase the chances
of fulfilling paid employment.

The programme offers the opportunity for the learner to undertake work-based learning experiences to develop their skills valued by local employers with the support of a job coach. The learner will enhance their skills needed to be valued within a workplace setting and develop confidence, communication and self-awareness skills to perform day to day tasks within a work placement setting. Learners will work within the programme to increase their understanding of:
- how to apply for jobs
- taking part in an interview
- CV applications
- study Mathematics and English development as part of the course content
- work placement observations
- Personal career portfolio building
