Mental Health Support due to College Closure
In the event of college closures - If are feeling low in mood, worried or anxious and require support from the College’s Mental Health Support Team then please email your name, HCFE College, Hartlepool, and your telephone number to cypfamilies@alliancepsychology.com and someone will contact you. Your Mental Health Support Team is available Monday – Thursday 8.30-5.00pm and Fridays 8.30-4.30pm. Please note that we are not a crisis or out of hours emergency service. If you have serious concerns about your mental health and wellbeing then you must contact your local CAMHS Crisis service on 0300 013 2000 Option 6
Don’t forget you can always contact your WARM from College if you need someone to chat to and who can also refer you to the College’s Mental Health Services.

COUNSELLING AND SUPPORT
For those students who are currently engaging with counselling services (Alliance or MIND) via Hartlepool College – your appointments will continue to take place via telephone and you will be contacted directly from your link counsellor. Please continue to engage with these services through this difficult time for extra support.

Debbie Hill – Head of WARM’s wants to send an important message out to all students of HCFE about keeping yourself safe during college closure, which you can do so by following the governments advice about social distancing/isolation.
Let’s start off Monday by logging onto canvas and communicate with your tutors about the work which they have been busy planning for you. Debbie cannot stress enough about the importance of contacting her or her team about any worries or concerns you may have during college closure, or you may simply just need someone to talk to.
This is a difficult time for us all, therefore let’s work together and accept all of the support we have to offer you.
Remember – no matter how big or small your worry is, Debbie and her team can support you with anything.

ONLINE APPLICATIONS AND STUDENT SUPPORT
In light of COVID-19, the College has adapted its application process. This now means that learners who have applied to the College or who plan to apply for September 2020 (16 to 18 yr old learners) entry will now automatically receive a conditional offer subject to their GCSE results.
HCFE Student Support team are offering online careers advice and guidance to both prospective learners and current students from tomorrow. Available on LIVE Chat via our website, every Tuesday and Thursday 10 am til 12 noon (Term-Time ONLY).
Students are encouraged to continue to apply to our courses through the website. If you have any questions about the College or your chosen course, please email enquiries@hartlepoolfe.ac.uk.
