Access and Participation Statement

The College’s mission is ‘excellence in further and higher education’ and central to this is a focus on lifelong learning and enabling educational progression for the community of Hartlepool. This applies to all learners especially those who wish to proceed to higher education programmes at the College.

We are committed to widening access and participation for all prospective students irrespective of background, gender, age, ethnicity, disability or any other factor. The College has in place initiatives to encourage fair access and reduce some of the barriers that prospective students face when contemplating higher education programmes. These initiatives can be accessed by contacting Learner Services directly at the College or by browsing the College website. The College is committed to providing support to help learners progress onto higher education programmes and support them whilst studying higher education programmes in order to achieve an equitable learning outcome for all students to deliver excellence in further and higher education.
