Part Time Lecturer - Brickwork

Salary £21.63 - £30.65 per hour (including holiday pay)

Hartlepool College of Further Education seeks to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive Lecturer in Brickwork on a part time (casual) basis.  The College was judged as being ‘good’ by Ofsted (March 2017) and now it turns its attention to becoming outstanding.  This exciting opportunity offers an enthusiastic, ambitious and committed individual the chance to join this forward-looking college as it embraces change and strives to become an outstanding further education college.

Applicants should have relevant experience together with a relevant level 3 qualification (or time-served apprenticeship) in Brickwork.  Applicants must possess or be willing to obtain a teaching qualification, and be prepared to work as part of a team, embracing the College's RESPECT ethos.

Appointment of Work Based Assessor/Work Placement Link

(22.5 hours per week)

Salary £12,772.09 - £13,897.70 per annum (based on £21,003 up to £22,854 FTE)

The post-holder will be responsible and accountable to undertake work-based assessments and monitor students’ progress in a range of Early Years/Education settings.  Applicants need to be qualified to at least NVQ level 3, or equivalent, in a relevant vocational qualification.  Experience within an Early Years/Education setting is essential and the applicant must hold an Assessor Award.  A full driving licence and access to own transport is essential.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also essential.  The post-holder is expected to be an excellent team player and embrace the College’s RESPECT values.

Industry Placement Officer

Full Time, Fixed Term until September 2020

Salary £21,552 per annum

The successful candidate will be a forward thinking, organised and enthusiastic Industry Placement Officer working across a variety of curriculum areas.

The Industry Placement Officer will be required to have sufficient experience and knowledge of the Further Education sector and to develop and maintain strong and sustainable relationships with employers. The key elements of the role include developing, maintaining, reviewing, and enhancing the college portfolio of industry placement opportunities for our students. The successful candidate will support students to secure an industry placement and help them to put into practice the knowledge and skills they have learnt in the classroom
