Learning Support Assistant Recruitment Event / Wednesday 1st May 5.30pm – 7.00pm at Hartlepool College of Further Education
Be the Person Who Makes Learning Possible for Everyone
As a Learning Support Assistant at Hartlepool College, you'll witness moments of transformation every day - when a student masters a concept they once struggled with, completes a task independently for the first time, or gains the confidence to participate in class discussions. These are the rewards that make this role truly special.
What does being a Learning Support Assistant involve?
As an LSA, you'll work in partnership with our outstanding teaching staff to provide personalised support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Your role will be diverse and dynamic, including:
- Providing one-to-one and small group support in classroom settings
- Adapting learning materials to meet individual needs
- Building trusting relationships that empower students to achieve their potential
- Creating an inclusive environment where every student can thrive
- Supporting students with social and emotional aspects of learning
Many of our most successful LSAs came to us from diverse backgrounds - retail, customer service, parenting, or care work. What they all share is a genuine interest in helping others succeed.
