Double Joy for Apprentices

We are super proud of two of our current apprentices here at Hartlepool College, who have been shortlisted for the same regional award. Tiegan Cranney and Samuel Casey are both in the running for the Apprentice of the Year honour at this month’s Insider Media 'Made in the North-East' Awards. Now the pair will head to the Hilton Newcastle-Gateshead for the black-tie event on Thursday, March 14 to hear if they have won.

Big, Bigger and Best...

Our annual showcase for major employers in the area has been described as the best one yet by our leaders here at Hartlepool College of Further Education – ten years after it was first launched. Our Big Apprenticeship Event was held on Thursday, February 8 as part of National Apprenticeship Week and it was the biggest one so far.

At 79 years young, James Cockburn was sick of looking at four walls at home so had a look through the College’s prospectus in August to see if there was anything that would appeal to him and hopefully, he could learn a new skill.
