You are required to attend an interview with a course tutor
The course is made up of theory based knowledge modules to underpin the skill base learning that takes place in a simulated working environment.
Both theory and practical will be undertaken.
Formative and summative assessment carried out throughout the 1 year programme. Assessment will be offered when the student is confident that he/she is ready. Assessment covers practical and theoretical areas of the course.
On completion of Diploma Level 1 students can progress to an NVQ qualification if employment can be sourced or progress onto a level 2 full time programme in Bricklaying.
The Diploma Level 1 is an ideal starting point for school leavers to get an insight into their chosen trade helping prepare them for a Level 2 qualification, ensuring they have gained the necessary confidence through positive achievements to fulfill their potential through real progression in learning.
