Students should log on to their Canvas site (access links below) to access learning materials and carry out assessments as instructed by their tutors. Students should endeavour to follow the same routine as their timetable, this will ensure staff are online and available equally for each teaching group.
Tutors can be contacted via Canvas and/or via email. Email addresses can be found in the information below.
Apprentices are expected to follow the same processes stated as above and in addition, they are asked to keep a clear log of the Off The Job hours that are being calculated as a result of this method of learning.
If you have yet to Access Canvas and the Student Portal
It is very straight forward for students to access our online learning environments and materials.
Simply follow these steps:
- On the college website you will find a section named Student Services across the top of the page.
- Hover over this with your mouse, and you will see ‘Student Portal (Canvas)’.
- Click on that link, and you be directed to a login page. Enter your student email address (email@example.com), enter your password, and you be directed to the ‘Student Portal’ page.
From here, you can access a manner of links and resources, including links to Canvas, Office 365, OneDrive, and ProPortal.
Online Application and Student Support Services during closure
In light of COVID-19, the College has adapted its application process. This now means that learners who have applied to the College or who plan to apply for September 2021 entry will now automatically receive a conditional offer subject to their GCSE results.
Students are encouraged to continue to apply to our courses through the website. If you have any questions about the College or your chosen course, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. In the meantime, students may receive a telephone interview from tutors. We will also have staff answering questions on social media.
