Course content
In this Certificate you will develop essential knowledge and understanding in:
- Health & Safety
- Client Care and Communication
- Manicure
- Nail Art
- Gel Nail Extensions
Teaching & Learning
This course is delivered using powerpoint presentations, practical demonstrations, group discussions, assignments and exams
Assessment criteria
Ongoing throughout the year and will consist of peer and tutor assessments, self-assessments, practical assessments and on-line exams
Progression
On successful completion of this course, progress to a Level 3 Nail Technology course or Level 2 Beauty Therapy
Other information
- all learners will be expected to comply with the industry code of practice for salon dress - a salon uniform is compulsory
- 100% attendance to all lessons is required
- learners will be expected to have their own relatives/friends to practice on and complete assessments
