Entry requirements
5 GCSEs at grade 3 and above, including Maths and English
Course content
- Fundamentals of aviation mathematics and science
- Fundamentals of aircraft gas turbine engines
- Fundamentals of aircraft propellers
- Human factors in aviation
- Fundamental of electrics and theory of flight
- Fundamentals of airframe construction and systems
- Fundamentals of aircraft electrical and avionic systems
Teaching & Learning
The qualification will be delivered on a full-time basis with a combination of classroom, hangar and workshop activities.
Assessment criteria
There will be training, both in a classroom environment and in the workshop. There will be assessment of both written and practical work. There are a combination of online multiple-choice assessments and centre devised assignments covering practical skills and knowledge.
