Hartlepool College’s theatre-sized Conference Centre and its adjoining suite are popular and successful places for businesses to host meetings, training programmes and special events. During early planning stages for its new building, the College seized the opportunity to create a new bespoke resource that would further amplify and enhance our support for business. Highlighting ambience, comfort, flexibility and innovation, the new Conference Centre is custom-designed to meet the demands of businesses of all sizes and areas of operation.
Flooded with natural light from the impressive full-length glazing high above, the new Conference Centre takes up almost the entire lower floor of the College’s canyon-like North Wing. This large, bright and welcoming space is home to an exclusive exhibition of work by renowned artist Tom Wall, and also a classic M.G. car restored by College students. In addition, the College’s stylish Flagship Restaurant is also located here, offering a gourmet menu.
Every room in the Conference Centre is designed to allow clients the freedom to conduct their business or event with complete confidence, comfort and privacy, These are spaces intended to allow people to innovate, entertain and impress. The Conference Rooms have a combined capacity of almost 500 people. Clients also have access to an array of presentation resources, such as interactive touch screen HD televisions and projectors. Naturally, a wide selection of hospitality is also available, and parking can be arranged. Finally, for maximum flexibility, the Conference Centre and Flagship Restaurant can be isolated from the rest of the building, allowing them to be operational even when the main College is closed.

Conference 1 - The largest of the conference suites utilises cinema-style tiered seating to allow an unhindered view of a 6m glare-free high definition screen, accompanied by a Dolby Digital surround sound system. Hosting a standard seating to 180 guests (Alternative seating options are offered that may increase the number of seating available, please contact us to discuss). Alternatively this room can be furnished with banquet tables and chairs for up to 80 guests.
Conference rooms 2, 3, 4 and 5 ** - For meetings, a cluster of conference rooms are available across the main corridor. Rooms range in capacity from the 48 seater Conference 3 to the 20 seater boardroom style Conference 4. All rooms, at request, feature wi-fi and rooms can be configured depending on bespoke requirements.
The Flagship Restaurant - The award-winning Flagship restaurant is the perfect location for that special occasion. With capacity for up to 60 guests the resturant can be configured depending on your bespoke requirements. A wide variety of banqueting and buffet menus are available to cater for your occasion.
