Industry Training Excellence
Our Centre of Excellence in Fabrication and Welding at Exeter Street represents a significant investment in industrial skills training for the region. This purpose-built facility spans 1,500 square metres and features five specialist workshops, 39 welding booths, a clean lab for weld testing, and five dedicated classrooms – providing everything under one roof for the next generation of skilled fabricators, welders and platers.
Working in partnership with major regional employers including SeAH Wind, Wilton Group, TATA Steel, and Caterpillar, the Centre delivers exceptional training in diverse welding techniques from sub-arc welding to specialist aluminium work. Our industry-experienced staff, many of whom are former Hartlepool College apprentices themselves, ensure students receive the highest standard of vocational education that meets the demands of employers across the North East and beyond.

Our Flagship Restaurant delivers a relaxed fine dining experience at accessible prices. Staffed by our talented Hospitality and Catering students under expert supervision, the restaurant showcases gourmet cuisine with impeccable service.
