The post-holder will lead and coordinate the College’s examination functions, ensuring the effective, accurate, and compliant administration of all examinations and assessments. They will be responsible for the day-to-day management of examination processes, ensuring that all activities are conducted in accordance with Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) regulations, awarding body requirements, and recognised best practice as promoted by The Exams Office and the National Association of Examinations Officers (NAEO).  Working closely with the Head of Centre, the post-holder will play a key role in ensuring full compliance with JCQ regulations and awarding organisation requirements, maintaining the security, integrity, and confidentiality of all examination and assessment activities. They will act as the College’s primary point of contact for awarding bodies and will be accountable for the accurate collection, submission, and reporting of examination entries, results, and related data.

The post-holder will provide leadership and management to the examinations team, including examinations administrators and invigilators, ensuring the delivery of a professional, efficient, and student-focused service. They will be expected to build effective working relationships with curriculum and support teams, demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, and contribute positively to the College community.  In carrying out their duties, the post-holder will actively demonstrate and promote the College’s RESPECT values, fostering a culture of professionalism, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
