This programme is aimed at school leavers
GCSE'S at grades 2/3 and above, including Maths and English
The content on this course covers a wide range of topics, such as the fundamentals of how an engine works to the routine maintenance needed on a motor vehicle. Students will also undertake the relevant Functional Skills/GCSEs in English and Maths.
This programme is a mix of theory and practical aiming to bring together the various elements of the topics mentioned above that are used within a motor vehicle. Students will be exposed to a variety of teaching and learning methods including classroom-based and practical sessions.
A variety of assessment methods are used including assignments, exams and practical exercises.
On successful completion of this course, students can progress to the Level 2 Automotive programme.
Students will have the opportunity to participate in numerous enrichment activities such as motor show visits. This programme can be combined with GCSEs.
