To provide a recognised qualification in Beauty Therapy for those students seeking employment in the beauty therapy industry. The NVQ is awarded to those students who successfully complete all nine elements. Students are also required to produce a portfolio of evidence. A kit and uniform is required.
Level 2 Beauty Therapy
This course includes the following modules/units:
- Body massage
- Body and face electrical and mechanical treatments
- Epilation
- Client consultation
- Financial effectiveness in a business
- Health and safety
- Promotional knowledge in a business
Assessment is ongoing and includes practical, oral, written testing, assignment writing, case studies and end of unit examinations. A portfolio of evidence will need to be produced. Students will be expected to work on members of the public to facilitate practical assessments. Students may be expected to attend external verification visits at the College.
