Target audience
The programme aims to assist the student in working with children and is developed to give the student the required skills and confidence to work in an Early Years setting.
Entry requirements
4 GCSE at grade 4 or above including Maths or English
Course content
There are a number of units to complete over the year including:
- Safeguarding
- Support the needs of babies and young children with Special Educational Need and Disability
- Promote play in an Early Years Setting
- Roles and responsibilities of the Early Years Practitioner
Assessment criteria
You will attend a placement one day each week in a school nursery
Progression
T Level or with appropriate GCSE grades employment as a Early Years Practitioner.
