About the Campaign

The 16 Days of Action Against Gender-Based Violence is an international campaign that runs annually from 25 November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women) to 10 December (Human Rights Day).

At Hartlepool College, we're committed to creating a safe, supportive environment for all our students and staff. This year, we're hosting a comprehensive programme of events designed to raise awareness, provide practical support, and foster open conversations about domestic violence and healthy relationships.

Domestic violence affects people of all genders, backgrounds, and ages, and its impact extends far beyond individual victims to families, workplaces, and communities.

Through education, awareness, and accessible support services, we can work together to end violence, promote healthy relationships, and create safer communities for everyone.

All Day: Matt Homan Lived Experience Talks (Conference Room 1)

Coffee Morning in the Flagship: Donations welcome in support of Harbour (women's refuge)

Thursday 28 November

Campaign Quest Begins: Pick up your first clue in the Atrium (collect your prize at the end!)
