There has been a lot of great activity going on this year in our School of Construction and Built Environment and we have lots to tell you about in the coming days and weeks. But firstly, this week we want to give huge congratulations to our brilliant students and are delighted to announce our CBE Technical and Professional Team reclaimed their crown as the best in the North East at the annual CIOB Student Challenge Competition, winning it for the 4th out of the last 5yrs.
Our own Louie White a Civil Engineering Apprentice at Lumsden & Carrol won overall Best Male Student of The Day, and making up the rest of the winning team were Scott Jenkinson, a Building Services Engineer at Geoffrey Robinson, Lucy Pearce a Civil Engineering Apprentice at ENTEC, Jack Carling a Civil Engineering Apprentice at Able UK, Caitlin Towers a HCFE Full-Time Student and Adam Kilvington a Building Services Engineer at Protherm.
We entered 3 strong Technical & Professional Teams who faced some tough competition and to pick up Best Male Student and of the Day and Best Team of the Day was a great achievement prize. Our winning students will now be off to the CIOB Annual Ball and meet Sir Geoff Hurst as part of their prize. We must also thank the judges for the day and great partner ENGIE and everyone else involved, let's hope we can make it 5 next year.
