We are delighted that our amazing staff here at Hartlepool College have been recognised and short-listed for not one but two national awards due to their amazing standard of work.

We have been short-listed for the quality of our English and maths provision and Engineering lecturer, Neil Godfrey, has been short-listed in the ‘Teacher of the Year’ category.  Several staff will now head down to London on 20 March 2020 for the Times Education Supplement Further Education awards ceremony which is a flagship event in the further education college calendar.

Darren Hankey, Principal, said; “we’ve worked hard as a college over the last few years to ensure our students get the best possible education and training.  In 2018/19 we had a superb set of results and to be nominated for not one but two national awards is great recognition for staff.”

Furthermore, our College is the only further education college in the Tees Valley to be short-listed for two awards which underline our credentials as one of the leading providers in this part of the world.
