Amazing news for seven of our Travel, Tourism and Aviation students as they have recently secured work at one of the country’s leading airlines. The seven students, which include five recent school-leavers and two adult learners, will start to work with Jet2 as passenger service agents based at Newcastle Airport later in the year.
The students at the College have followed a specialised cabin crew qualification which has provided them with the necessary knowledge and skills to be suitable for employment. College principal, Darren Hankey highlights, “we’re absolutely delighted for these students. We have invested a lot in this curriculum area over the last few years and now all learners study in the fuselage of a 747 Cathy Pacific plane. In addition, we have wonderful staff with heaps of industry experience and everything is geared up for these students to be successful.”
As well as this superb employment news, this curriculum area at the College is also expanding, as we now offer a Foundation Degree in Travel & Tourism in partnership with Teesside University. This means the College offers an array of travel, tourism and aviation qualifications for school-leavers and adult learners up to degree-level, apply now for one of our Travel, Tourism and Aviation programmes.
