New and returning students

Welcoming our new and returning students

We look forward to welcoming our new and returning students to the College in the coming weeks. Our staff have worked hard throughout the summer to ensure our building has been safely adapted to provide the best opportunity to learn. Our Principles for teaching and learning (link below) will ensure each student is given the perfect balance of face to face delivery and online learning. Here are some key updates you may find useful:

Enrolment 2020-2021

Enrolment starts with an interview. All applicants will have been sent an email asking how they want to receive their interview whether that is face to face, online or via telephone. Interviews (in most cases) have been scheduled from the 20th of August and up until the 28th of August.

On successful completion of your interview you will be sent an email link to the enrolment form for your course. Complete that and you are a Hartlepool College student.

Extra Support 2020-2021

We will need to gather further information to give you the best possible support available. After your enrolment has been processed our staff will email you with key contacts and links to our bursary form and your initial assessment. These important documents let us tailor the support you need.

Induction 2020/2021

Induction starts from early September. Students on full time programmes will have (in most cases) a two-day college induction and two-day online induction. The duration of induction will vary by level and age of students.

Induction is a great way to get to know your teachers and classmates. We will also give you all the help and support needed to ensure you can access our online delivery tools.

Timetable 2020-2021

You will pick your timetable up during induction. A reminder that this will follow our Principles for teaching and learning (see below).

Advice & Guidance

We know these are tough decisions you need to make. Our staff are on hand to give you award-winning, impartial advice and guidance whenever you need it. Please use the live chat function to speak to an adviser.

We are excited to welcome you to college and look forward to helping you succeed.
