Update  - Appeals Process

On the 19th of August, after changes to the method for the awarding of student results, Ofqual updated their Student guide to appeals, malpractice & maladministration complaints: summer 2020.This document (page 5) sets out the grounds for appeal and the differences between an appeal and a complaint (page 6). We encourage students and parents to read this document before completing the college’s appeal procedure.

Exam results 2019/20

Congratulations to our class of 2019/20. This has been a year of unprecedented times and your hard work, resilience and enthusiasm has now paid off. These unprecedented times have brought firsts for many things, the first time for 100% online delivery, the first time for centre-assessed grades and the first time for a results season without face to face celebrations. So here is some important information for receiving your results:

Level 3 learners

Most level 3 learners will have received their results on the 13th of August. As you will have read from the furore in the news there have been several problems. As a college we had some, but not many, students with downgraded results. In a number of cases we had whole cohorts without overall grades, a problem we have worked hard to rectify. These cases dampened the celebrations of results season. In both of these cases you have a right to appeal. Our appeals process information and form attached at the bottom of this page.

You can rest assured that as a college we  will continue to support you all to achieve the grades your deserve and to make the positive transition to University or work.

Level 1 & 2 learners (including GCSE)

On the 20th of August the results for Level 1 and Level 2 learners (including GCSEs) will be released. We will do this via email at 8am.

If there are any instances where a student does not receive their results please contact the college via live chat, via email (emailing your tutor) or by phoning 01429 295111.
