This qualification is targeted at candidates that wish to become fully qualified first aiders. The objective of this qualification is to support those individuals needing to become a first-aider in the workplace.
Self-certified as fit to perform physical requirements
- The roles and responsibilities of a first aider
- Use of a First Aid kit
- Minimise infection
- Assessing an emergency situation safely and priority of treatment
- Conduct a Primary survey
- Unconscious Casualty
- Place casualty in Safe Airway Position
- CPR and AED
- administering first aid to choking casualty
- dealing with shock, burns, scalds, bleeds and minor injuries
- Limb injuries
- Sprain and strain
- Head injury
- Spinal injury
- Eye injuries
- Embedded objects
- Electrical and chemical burn
- Poisoning
- Anaphylaxis
- Recognise and manage, Life threatening conditions/major illness
Taught by qualified First-Aiders with real life experience in performing First Aid
Each candidate will be assessed with a practical assessment on each topic
3 year refresher to maintain the qualification
We also offer a 2 day First Aid at Work requalification targeted at candidates that wish to remain fully qualified first aiders in the workplace
