A programme of study for students who wish to gain a qualification in the Esports sector. This course is designed to allow students to progress to Level 3 Esports, or related areas.
- A Level 1 vocational qualification in a related Esports area
- A standard of Literacy and Numeracy supported by a general education equivalent to four GCSEs at grade 2/3
- Related work experience
- Mature learners may present a more varied profile of achievement that is likely to include experience of paid and/or unpaid employment
Applicants must be aware that if students do not have a GCSE grade 4 or above in Maths or English,then they will have to undertake further study in addition to the 'main core' qualification(s).

- Esports, Games, Team & Tournaments
- Establishing an Esports Organisation
- Streaming for Esports
- Plan for an Esports Event
- Start an Enterprise in Esports
- Design an Esports Game
Students will also learn to manage time, take responsibility for their own work, and become self-reliant. There is an expectation that students will work in their own time to complete the necessary reading, homework, and assessment tasks.
Through a combintion of practical experience and written assigments, this vocational qualification provides Level 2 learners with the knowledge, skills and understanding needed for progression to Level 3 or a career inthe sector. Lessons are conducted in traditional classroom Esports arena settings, that enables learners to fulfil their potential.
Assessment within Level 2 Esports is consisted of in-class assignments and projects which build to a synoptic assessment at the end of the year. All assessments are internally set and marked against Pearson criteria. Each unit is graded at either Pass, Merit or Distinction level, with an overall grade awarded on the successful completion of all modules.
On completion of the course, students can progress to a further education course of Level 3 attainment.
The college will recruit learners to Esports qualifications with integrity. It is expected that Esports students will make every effort to attend all sessions. Students must have a commitment to completing the course. Those with work and/or family commitments should be aware of the duration of the course and the need to attend all classes.
The college will take appropriate steps to assess each applicant's potential and make a professional judgement about their ability to complete the programme of study successfully and achieve the qualification. This will include ensuring that applicants have appropriate information and advice about the qualification and that the qualification will meet their needs.
