Building on last week’s positive news, the College has further confirmed its commitment to supporting staff and students with their mental health with the launch of a new partnership with a new online support tool Togetherall.

The College joined others up and down the college in its commitment to mental health with the signing of the Association of Colleges Mental Health and Wellbeing Charter. The Charter, amongst other things, signals the College’s commitment to targeted individual mental health support for both staff and students.

College students already benefit greatly from the expert team of Welfare, Attendance and Retention Mentors (WARMs). The WARMS team are on hand to support all students with their emotional well-being during College hours, however, the College want to take this support further. Through TogetherAll students can continue to gain support out of College hours and across weekends.

Debbie Hill, Team Leader for the WARMs said to all students “Whether you’re struggling to sleep, feeling low, stressed or unable to cope, Togetherall can help you get support, take control and feel better.”

Students will have access to a 24/7 online global community and professional support from trained professionals. Togetherall provides a safe space online to get things off their chest, explore their feelings, get creative and learn how to self-manage their own mental health and wellbeing.

Maria Archbold, Head of Professional and Creative Studies and Mental Health Lead for the College said, “Togetherall have been providing support since 2007. This is a great community for our staff and students. Within the community on the platform, you are anonymous to other members and your personal information is kept secure while you are on the site. We as a College will not be informed if a member fo staff or a student signed up to Togetherall or know of their activity on the service. We hope this anonymity will make our community feel safe about opening up to support. TogetherAll is proving to be a key support network to many. Most members report feeling better and more able to cope with life in general as a result of using the service."

This is available to all Hartlepool College staff and students. To join, simply go to www.togetherall.command sign up under ‘organisation’ with your academic e-mail address.

If you have any problems in signing up or you have any questions with regards to the service, please speak to a member of the WARM’s Team – based in G11.

Please do not suffer in silence and always speak to your WARM.
